Massachusetts Greenberg Show

It’s Sunday morning and I’m going…yes this show is Not Springfield, nor is it MArlborough…but I always go and always find something to add to my layout…so…I’m all for this show…Tom

Grrrr!!! I really want to go, but my parents won’t drive me, and I’d have to drag around my 2 baby brothers and my 10 year old brother who would complain about me spending too much time there…etc…[banghead]

Before I had a stime slot on the hub, and after I finished my slot on YMR, I was bored, so I filmed some trains!

Well, the wife and I made the trip up to Wilmington on Sunday to the Greenberg show and I had a great time. Got a couple of Athearn blue box kits and some stuff to decortate the train room (old timetables and stock certificates). Like Mister Beasley I had fun looking at the old Lionel stuff and getting transported back in time - spotted several cars that I remember having as a kid. I was really impressed with the Youth in Railroading group. It was neat seeing a bunch of young people enjoying our hobby - after all they are our future. Kudos to the adults that are obviously providing these folks with supervision, guidance and mentoring! I also enjoyed the LEGO group’s layout. It was almost funny to realize that there were more adults enjoying the LEGO trains than kids and the LEGO exhibitors seem to be smiling the whole time. As I hoped, I left the show pumped up to begin work on the new layout - or more accurately getting all the stuff taken care of from our move to the new basement so layout construction can begin. I can’t wait for the Amherst show!!
