I got the feburary edition of the Model Railroader and was wondering if anyone had the January 2006 Edition. I was also wondering if you do have it , does it have the materials and how much track is needed for the 4x8 Stoney Creek? I need to know how much track I need to get this started. Thanks!

January issue has the benchwork material list while February has the RR items. Seems that you’ll need: Micro Engineering flex track Code 70 (quantity 7), Shinohara Code 70 track items: 326 No. 6 curved left hand turnout, 327 No. 6 curved right hand turnout, 301 No. 4 left hand turnout, 302 No. 4 right hand turnout. Also you’ll need (8) 3013 Ho scale cork roadbed by Midwest Products (yes the list does say HO scale), some n-scale rail joiners and n-scale plastic rail joiners.

i highly recommend either finding a hobby shop that has the january issue (many have at least 2 issues in stock all the time) or go here to order it directly . trying to build a layout with half the instructions is like … hmm , well it’s just a bad idea [:)]
