Does anyone know what the reasonable maximum radius the Woodland Scenics corner modules will take? I really want to go with this system, especially since I found out I can get them at wholesale, but want to know how my pax cars would operate on them. Thanks.
well, they are 36 by 36, so the max radius you could have is 34in.
I was just curious if 22-24" would be within the design tolerances of these things. It definately sounds like I should be OK.
uhh actually that’s a 17" radius , radius is measured from the center of the circle to the circumference . 34" would be the diameter
if you look at the WS website there area couple of trackplans using the mod-u-rail system . they use a 36x36 corner section plus a 36x18 section to make a 36x54 section so there is enough room to make a loop .

i just drew it all out on graph paper and it looks like 18" would be the largest radius usable in that loop section . i think that if you add another 54x18 piece to give you a total 54x54 section you could run 24" curves .
in total you’d need 2 corner modules plus 2.5 straight modules to do a 24" reverse loop
