The union doesn’t think the bidding was fair? That means their side didn’t win the bid!

Keolis should be leery of Lodge 585. There might be some awake, and not stoned, over there.
How did we ever let unions control public transit? Shouldn’t the late-unlamented Mike Quill, of the UTU given us a clue?
The whole reason why there is little communication is because they ( unions) will have less to complain about.
The B+M was always losing money on passenger service and the Old Coloney went belly up. The trouble was the confining union rules. Several groups have tried to control costs in Mass of the MBTA passenger service and everytime they try to do it the politicians come out with protections for the unions , union jobs and job locations. The end result is the operation is basically run by the unions on their schedule. In this article the only thing the Unions are worried about are pay and benifits. Expect a big strike at a very inoportune time by the unions claiming it is all the companies fault and the politicians will show up at the union rallies saying they are protecting workers and the jobs.
Most of these commenters show the failure of the US education system since they don’t seem to be able to read.
Union is afraid this new group may make them work for their pay and benefits.
@William D. Hays: Michael Quill was with the Transport Workers Union not the United Transportation Union. And, by the way, if there were any workers stoned, they would be fired in violation of Rule G, which goes back to the 1800’s.
