Hi Dave,
I believe this amounts to advertising even though it was just your intention to inform people of the opportunity. Unfortunately the forum rules preclude advertising so the moderators may delete the post. The rules are a bit gray when it comes to what constitutes an ad.
Dave
The precedent is the annuncements of auctions of full-scale real railroad equipment on the Trains and Classic Trains forums and even news items.
Dave K,
Respectfully a few points.
First, I am not bothered by (nor have any particular interest in) your posting this information here, but you should be aware that the rules are not same across all the Kalmbach forums.
Not sure if the moderators will be ok with your post or not, not my call.
But by example, recent conversations similar to ones on the TRAINS forum about the current world situation or even just complaining about the new bottom screen popup ads were shut down quickly here on the MR forum.
The goal here on the MR forum is to stick to model trains, and exclude the promotion of commercial interests or outside web sites.

The cars are OT, but assuming these aren’t the OP’s trains or auction company, it isn’t much different the showing links to Ebay, upcoming train shows, or any of the mail order houses or manufacturers.
My sense is Marklin isn’t big in this forum, and the number of people interested and willing to bid on something they can only see online, half a world away, is small.
Where they are every bit as objectionable, and violative of both the letter and spirit of the TOS, as posting the actual flackery of the Australian auction site is.
The parallel – and, I submit, a practical test – can be found in the recent thread in the Trains Magazine forums about a company producing YouTube railfan-oriented videos. It’s one thing to post the opportunity, with a link for ‘those who want to know more’. It’s quite a different thing to actively advertise profit-making content, whether that is to boast about all the exciting values or to troll for likes or subscribes or bells or whatever floats last week’s social-media boat.
All Mr. Klepper needed to post … or should have posted … was a note that “Marklin collectors might find this auction of interest” (or words of similar effect) followed by the link. Just as all Pro Rail Productions should do is provide a description of why people in the community might want to watch something, followed by a link to their content. Save the promotion for links that interested people might subsequently follow – it doesn’t really belong here.
