Are the Mehano the same as the IHC engines? Trainworld has a pretty good sale on them.
Yes, the IHC locomotives were made by Mehano. I think the ones being sold by Trainworld may be leftovers from the IHC warehouse.
Mehano of Slovenia filed for bankruptcy shortly before IHC went out of business. Mehano is reportedly back in business but has said they will initially produce only models for the European market.
Thanks… I have one of the IHC “Mother Hubbards” which I detailed & added a decoder. It performs great considering the price. i like the fact that the drive wheels all have wipers & don’t depend on the tender for electrical power. The mechanism is the same as the mogul. jerry .
Yes. I have a Mehano 2-10-2 that is marked Mehano and is the identical twin of the models marked IHC.
