Carl, looks great. After almost a year of saying "man, we need to get together…" tonight twe finally did [:D]. Carl is has a great spread, impressive set up. It was finally nice to put a face to name! SOme good cold brews and plenty of trains. Great night! And yes, i [8)]sat on thsoe cars for almost 8 months after seeing them on sale knowing AC4400 would dig 'em.[:)]

Didn’t I see both of your pictures up in the post office…? Sounds like you guys enjoyed the evening. I’m hoping that I’ll get a chance to run into a few local forum members at the upcoming train show here in Cleveland next weekend.

Tom

It Was A Great Night!

Carl…

I thought i saw their pictures on a milk carton…that is great!..there are many modelers in my area that come here to the forum and it seems we just never have gotten together…i think it would be nice too …maybe it’s just that really bad Houston traffic that keeps us from getting together…chuck

Well, if anyone decides to viist Tampa, Florida…please post it on the forum and I’ll be sure to drop by and say “hi” to you at Happy Hobo Trains.

There are days when a number of modelers just come in to talk about:

…trains, politics, trains, music, trains, sports, trademark issues, the usual joking about MTH, trains, the latest world news, and yeah…more trains![8D][;)]

On some days it’s sort of like the old tv show, “Cheers”

Great chance to get together with some forum members and operate on some great layouts - the SE Michigan Ops Weekend April 21-23. Info at www.michops.org

Milk cartons? Post office?
Too Funny!!![(-D][(-D][(-D]

I’ll be at the April 1-2 Great Scale Train show at Timonium . I’ll be the guy at the FCSME’s layout running the Maryland Midland stuff!

If anybody is ever in Colorado Springs, give me a shout!!

Yep. I’m always open to getting together with others within reasonably distance of the Harrisburg, PA area

Looking forward to the WP Convention in Chico Ca in April, will meet a few from this forum.

my plans are to attend the train show in New Braunfels, Tx on April 15th…hope to see some of you guys there if ya’ll are planning to attend…chuck

Is the UP still providing display locomotives for that show? I am originally from the New Braunfels area and always enjoyed that show. You might also want to think about checking out the Texas Transportation Museum in San Antonio while you are out that way. It is behind the San Antonio International Airport on Wetmore Road.

kchronister, is Duncannon close enough? [:D] I drive to work in Harrisburg everyday. Well, five days a week anyway. I have met some of the other folks on the forum, a couple at the Timonium Train Shows and at the Railroad Museum in Strasburg.

I don’t know if they are going to or not…i tried to e-mail the local club there that is sponsoring it to find out more about the show in New Braunfels but have not got a reply yet…gee!..a transportation museum in SA?..I grew up in that town and Wetmore road was nothing but fields as far as you could see with a set of MP tracks running thru them back in those days…will have to check it out someday…chuck

It is 11731 Wetmore Rd. It is basically at the intersection of the Wurzbach Parkway and Wetmore. I did quite a bit of volunteer work there when I was younger, and a couple of years ago when my wife got orders to Lackland (I loved being back home on the government). You are in for quite a shock when you see Wetmore now!!

Carl, who’s who in that pic?

Works for me. Haven’t been to the RR museum in Strasburg in far too long, nor to the Timonium show ever.

I say we pick a place and time, broadcast it to ‘all comers’ and meet up.

you are from SA?..I went to Edison H.S. …lived in the section of town between Fresno Dr. , IH 10, Blanco, and Basse Rds…you guessed it…by the Kerrville branch of the SP RR. tracks…(the train ran right past my back yard fence in the house i grew up in)…chuck

Pine Bluff First Saturday of April anyone? There is a Train Show at the Cotton Belt 819 shops that day from 9-4.
