Was the Illinois Central Railway Historical Society not invited? Nothing against the GM&O and L&N, but Illinois Central certainly played a prominant role in Memphis rail history; why the heck aren’t they there?

Not being a member of any of the three group I couldn’t answer that for sure.
I’m just relaying the information to any interested parties in the Memphis area.
Sorry Mojo, I wasn’t attempting to sound like I was shooting the messenger. I was just lamenting the lack of a railroad that might have got me to consider making the trip.

It might be a case of both groups having their annual meetings in Memphis at the same time and deciding to combine the two.
It appears that the GM&O society invited the L&N people to co-meet. I have a request in to find out when the ICHS meeting is, but suspect it just isn’t at this time of year.
Anybody interested in going to this meeting is welcome to stay with me (suburban Eads is about 10 miles from the hotel). Give me enough warning to lay in some chocolate cake fixin’s…
