I am planning a vacation of sorts out on the Meridian Speedway starting next Friday, and was wondering if KCS has anything special planned for this year’s railfest event. (like the F-units making an appearance as they did last year) Thanks for any info!
Well, when IS the Meridian Railfest, anyway?
10/31-11/01…next Friday/Saturday. It doesn’t look like the town itself has much of anything planned that’s actually railroad related, so some Southern Belle F-units would certainly make the event worthwhile!
You can reach the company by going to kcsouthern.com. There is a separate listing for “Southern Belle” in the company info. Here’s the contact person listed:

Haven’t been to Meridian in a while, was wondering if the old GM&O freight/office bldg was still standing near the overpass. It was in bad shape last time I saw it.
