My wife and I took the Snow Train to Levenworth, WA. yesterday and I thought you might like to ride along. Please enjoy the Photo Show.
Riding a train sure allows some photo opportunities to get the otherwise hidden stuff doesn’t it? Some neat scenes here of the port and the up country as well. Also some really nice historic cars were on that train – I think the Amtrak superdome is the former Great Northern car from the 1950s that was featured on the 75th anniversary run of the Empire Builder a few years ago. Thanks for the link – and yes, Merry Christmas.

On the trip to Levenworth you pass through the longest tunnel in North America. I fell down on the job of picture taking but the picture that is the dark looking out of the vista dome was while we were in the tunnel. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascade_Tunnel We have taken the trip three times and every time I get more ideas for my layout.
Nice photos. I was on a couple of wildfires in WA a few years ago - one was just outside Leavenworth. It is beautiful country that I would like to see again. The train ride looks like a great way to do that.
Thanks for the photos,
