Yes I have and it is no problem. You can purchase Northwest Shortline wheels, or find someone who has changed out the metal in powered to nickle silver. I have a bunch around so if you are interested contact me off list and we could talk. Depending on the brand you may have to make a plastic tube to hold each axle half and isolate rails from each other.

I replaced the plastic wheels on my Athearn PA-1 dummy with Northwest Short Lines plated wheels and it makes the engine track and run much better. |
