Metal wheel Supplier

Can someone tell me of a good suppler of metal wheels in HO scale I need wheels sizes 28-38 in I would like to fine a source were I can find wheels sold in lots and buy the single axle

I like Kadee wheels (I use a wire brush in a Dremel tool to polish the tread itself). P2K wheels have their fans, and JayBee makes a nice line of wheels. North West Short Line wheels have been a popular standard for years. I am not personally aware of anybody who makes a wheel you can purchase completely individually – one axle.

Another good source is Intermountain. I use their wheelsets exclusively on all my cars, passenger and freight. Here is a link:

MB klein has a good assortment of many brands. I second the comments on intermountain, just bought 400 sets in bulk…

Single axles are not available from any supplier that I know of – even a local hobby shop won’t sell them this way. The smallest package is usually between 8 and 12 axles, with boxes of 100 cheaper.

Proto 2000 or Intermountain are the two I use most frequently.

I use Intermountain wheels almost exclusively. The 33" and 36" wheels are available in boxes of 100. The odd 28" and 38" aren’t.
