Last I noticed there were two sitting at the ex-Milwaukee Road Metra shops. You can see them from overhead on Google Maps image at http://goo.gl/maps/LPBq2. Don’t know if they’re being used for anything.
Yes the two units being refered to are the two F40C’s left 611&614. They have been out of service for a while now probably at least 2 years but there is talk of rebuilding them.
