Excellent! Usually ride Metra when in the Chicago area. Amtrak to get there from Ohio.
Maybe London (in the UK) will try something like this instead of prosecuting people. (See Fred Frailey’ s blog on this)
$7000 / 4 stations is $1750/station to put outlets in with USB ports. That seems like a crazy amount but maybe I should just be thankful it wasn’t $700,000. Of course, in the morning, no one will be stopping to charge their phone and in the evening most people arrive within a minute or 5 of their departure, so I’m not sure how many Wh will be passing through these ports. Ports on the train, now that’s a better idea.
And would probably be $7,000,000 …
