A question that needs answering. Is the frantic pace of USA loco building causing parts suppliers not to deliver spare parts to various RRs ? If this is the case then locos sent out either have to cannibalize other units or go out with a higher possibility of failure ? Persons on the inside of various RRs might know ?

Amazing how the picture with the article shows a thoroughly frosted cab car - not a locomotive as we are now in May without snow and ice.

I know car companies always put the parts on the new cars before sending parts to the dealerships/repairs hops. This is especially true when there was a defect, and many parts have to be replaced at the same time. I assume locomotive manufactures are te same way.
