Due to state funding issues METRA is canceling (putting on hold) its latest RFP for new cars. It may look to exercise VRE’s unused option. The statement about picking up used equipment seem to fly in the face of the equipment shortage discussed several weeks ago. I wonder if METRA has surveyed the market.
