I saw this story on MSNBC. Evidently Metro Link setteled with those injured for $30 Million. This was the wreck in which a suicidal man parked an SUV on the tracks. In my opinion, Metro Link should have fought this tooth and nail, it wasn’t their fault.
The unfortunate truth is that the structure of our legal system is such that to fight it and even win would have cost a lot more than the reported $30 million.
