pulled up in a Jauara...with $500 in coins to buy lottery tickets
, these lads obviously fell out of the the stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down!
Murphy’s Laws of Railroading: Do not steal from the railroad. They will hand you every opportunity to make money.
It cannot be said for certain that a private business would never leave itself open to this sort of fraud, but the figure quoted would have been missed in any other sort of organization. Leave it to “gubmint” to get ripped off so massively.
Hmm… (Jauara)? A fruit of the stupid tree? and On which railroad does this version of Murphys Law apply?
Wow, big surprise. This happens all the time with transit agencies. If they run short, they just ask for another tax levy to be passed and the public makes up the losses. The politicians need to leave Amtrak alone and begin checking on the massive waste and corruption of transit authorities.
this has been going on for several years? sounds like his supervisor is in on the scam also!
Same thing happened in DC about 15 years ago. At that time the Metro admitted that it had no accounting system in place at each individual machine to record the total money received. Basically the machine takes money and dispenses paper tickets and because values on the tickets can vary no accounting was put in place.
