I’ll be riding Metrolink to/from the fair to see 4014 one last time before it gets hauled away to Cheyenne!
It’s refreshing to see passenger trains taken in stride as a resource to be welcomed and worked with rather than as a nuisance to be tolerated or a quaint novelty to be indulged but not taken seriously!
I hope Metrolink and The L.A. Fair promotes the heck out of this service. To me this sure beats fighting the traffic the fair generates.
Someone in charge of Metrolink should be honored for their roll in getting this started…Just think, park somewhere else, get a $10 ticket, no upcharge for fair lot parking, free shuttle…AMAZING for this day and time…This is going to make things simple for fair goer riders…At the state fair of Texas there are railroad tracks on the fair site…I would go to the fair if this concept was adopted here…A WAY TO GO METROLINK–FORWARD MIND THOUGHTS, KEEP THEM COMING…
Sadly, with no service on Weekends not an option for Ventura Line customers (despite the $10 Weekend Pass being advertised at Chatsworth).
