This past Saturday (4/6/13) a Metrolink train collided with a dump truck at a grade crossing in Pacoima. No one was seriously injured and the train did not derail. The Los Angeles Fire Department posted pictures of the collision on their flickr account. They included some pictures of the damage sustained by the Rotem cab car. I’m no expert but the damage doesn’t appear to be anything that would send the car to the scrapper.
I get a kick out of the last line in the story that the exact cause of the accident is under investigation. How much ya wanna bet it was because the truck was driven infront of the oncoming train?
