Metrolink expands Antelope Valley service
It is about time they increased services out this direction. Now if they could directly connect Victorville with Palmdale.
There’s no reason why SCRRA can’t extend service to Victorville since BNSF installed a third main track through Cajon Pass a couple of years ago. As for service between Palmdale and Victorville, both cities are on separate lines and cannot logically connect. One would have to go to LAUS in order to go from one of those cities to the other.
Felony Flyer baby! Armed robberies are not uncommon on this route!
Which of the two stations within the Antelope Valley proper does the train begin at? Lancaster or Palmdale? I never heard of an “Antelope Valley” Station.
Someone commented not too long ago about relative pictures connecting the story. Since then, I’ve noticed that with the Metrolink story, TrainsMag seems to use the same picture every time (A Metrolink Cab Car in Claremont or some station on the San Berdoo Line).
Dear Trains,
Please use pictures that are LOCATION-RELEVANT to the story! For example: this story use a picture of a Metrolink train somewhere on the Antelope Valley Line. Thank You!
Wish Amtrak could connect this line with its line ending in Backersfield. The bus trip over the Grapevine is long, and undcomfortable.
By the time I find a parking space in Lancaster, after the early commute, I could have driven over the hill to LA.
Great ride but very poor planning.
