MG 1/43 cars (pics)

Here are a couple of 1/43 MG cars that we pick up recently. [8D]

These are great looking cars equal to my Franklin Mint cars with the exception that the door do not open, and it does not have a detailed engine compartment.

Always love the pics. of your cars. I was expecting 60’s MG’s. Those (yours) are way more cool… Happy Birthday Spanky!

Tom,
I, too, was expecting a later model MG. I own a 79 Midget and at 6’4" it’s always fun to shop at the mall and have people say “Did you get out of that car?” or “Can we watch you get back in?” Anyway, Happy Birthday Spanky, always enjoy the pics of you on your layout. [;)] and of couse Tom does an excellent job posting them. You guys take care in that snow storm of yours

TOM,
I like the glitter roof on the black one.

Those are great looking cars! Where’d you pick them up?

Zubillga,
I to had a Midget, I believe mine was a 69, Wish I still had it!!! Eventhough drive it 1 day, work on it 2. (Always adjusting the dual side draft carburators, keeping them in balance.) I drove it from Los Angeles to Corpus Cristi, round trip it didn’t like that! It took me two weeks to get it running again .

HA! I had a '64. Drove it from from Phila to Florida when it was new. In Maryland, the motor sounded like it blew-up, and it died. Started it up a few minutes later, and it ran fine. Think it was a blocked crankcase oil vent. I, too, spent many hours adjusting those carbs. Finally got rid of it and got a new Mustang, since I don’t have a “mechanical talent”.

A drive to downtown Historical Willoughby to our local hobby shop, ‘Stewart’s Hobbies’ has them. Or you can call them at 440-942-6632 [8D]

Diecast Direct may still also have them.

Oh Boy ! Those are really sharp ! I,m going to try to get one then ! I always like those MGs ! They remind me of the show “Love Story” with Ali Mcgraw !

The orange one reminds me of one of the 1st cars I ever drove. It was aTC that my dad overhauled. The owner brought it back from England in the bomb bay of a B-17(at least that’s the story), stored it for a couple of years, and then had Pop go over it . Sitting on the L side with nothing to do was weirder than driving on the R side.
