MIA Northern Pacific E or F units in N gauge

Does anyone know where I might be able to pick up a NP E or F unit in N gauge? I’ve ordered one three times online and each time hve gotten an email saying out of stock and no known replenish date.Whats going on? is this an epidemic? Maybe due to the economy?Any help would greatly appreciated, thanks.

Ebay has some Loewy and Butterknife F’s on Ebay from reputable sellers. The pine tree uinits come up every week, for about $55 and 53 each for the A/B set. I haven’t seen any in retail lately. All of the above are Intermountain units and darn fine runners, I reviewed them on my blog… worth every penny IMO here’s a link

NP didn’t have E units.

Intermountain manufacturers F and FP units. The site says their FP7 and F7B units for the North Coast Limited are in stock but to contact your dealer. http://www.imrcmodels.com/n/nloco/nlocfP7.htm

For F7’s in the earlier passenger scheme ( http://www.imrcmodels.com/n/html/69260.htm ), it says contact your dealer. Says the same thing for the freight units http://www.imrcmodels.com/n/html/69214.htm

Same for FT’s. I didn’t see F3’s except in the earlier passenger scheme.

HTH.

Of all the Hill Lines:CB&Q;GN;NP;SP&S;only the NP never owned any E Units.

They pretty much stuck to F Units for both Freight and Passenger.

Aztec Eagle.Planning on modeling MP in either East Texas or the Austin area ca.1959.

Right now,just running an Atlas Katy RS3 and(When I can get them to run)a LLP2K MPGP18 and MP FA1

along with some freight cars chasing a caboose around an oval of Bachmann EZ Track!!!

Good Luck!!!Sometimes it’s harder than Chinese Algebra and pulling Hen’s Teeth combined to find any Intermountain Locos in either your brick and mortar hobby shop or online!!!
