Mike was a dear friend, we met at the Del Mar show when he was with Athearn, we shared a mutual interest In Ferrari’s …as I work for a Ferrari dealer, we kept in touch over the years via email and phone and he enjoyed the funny emails that i forwarded to him, I had no idea of his health issues and he never complained…I was actually trying to reach him the day of his passing to invite him to the Ferrari annual meet in Elkhart Lake, but about a week later I found out why i had no response…One of the Guys from Athearn was at the RPM meet told me of the news…his time was short…but he did make a life of it
