Micro Kristal Klear

Hi all,

I want to glaze some small windows on MOW equipment. I was going to use MKK, but mine has gotten thick. Would anyone know of an appropriate thinner?

Thank you for any advice.

John

I beileve it is a thick acrylic gloss medium which is water based. Take some out of the bottle and see how it reacts with water.

I have used it quite a bit, you may want to test it on some scrap box windows to see how you like the result. It dries clear, but not like glass or acetate

To reconstitute it, add a small amount of water (distilled or mineral free preferable ) and stir it well. Test it on a scrap sample. If it’s too severely “jellied”, you’ll have to purchase a new tube.

Thank you, George. I have used it before and, to me, it looks okay for small windows. I will give the water a try.

Thank you, Antonio. I’ll give the water a try. I was afraid it might keep the MKK from setting.

Elmer’s works just about as well.
