Micro Soft Internet Explorer 7.0.....Your experiences with CTT Forum.

If you read the coffee pot, you will see that I was not able to make the IE 7.0 work with the CTT forum. Specific problems included not being able to copy and paste photos from Shutterfly, a smaller than normal message box, and being unable to bold, italic, underline or insert smileys.

Every time you open an older version of IE you are being encouraged to upgrade to version 7.0.

Has IE 7.0 worked satisfactory for you when opening the CTT forum?

I can open the forum OK but I lost most of my toolbar. I can’t do the pix either and the msg box is smaller, too. Also, when I wanted to post a web site using the http etc, that didn’t work either.( You know when the site turns blue in the post). I thought it was just me. I wish I could undo it cause it’s not better or faster.

According to our IT person where I work, IE7 is the worst piece of software he’s ever seen, and he’s been in IT for 20 years with the company we work for. It’s so bad that the global corporate IT gurus have blocked it from being downloaded to any of the 2000+ computers in the entire world wide company network! I figure in 6 months or so, the service pack will be released to make it work the way it should be working now[:P]

My results are pretty much like yours - No tool bar, small message box, a pain to post pictures, etc. I think IE 7 is a poor attempt to emulate Firefox (tabbed brower windows, etc.). The main difference seems to be that Firefox actually works!

I’ve got the Shutterfly Problem using Safari. I also don’t get access to Emoticons. I may download Firefox to my Mac too! Jon

Sorry Buckeye, I can’t answer. I use Firefox on CTT. Works much better than IE7 or Netscape. Not sure why. Hopefully the software folks of CTT will weigh in. I’d like to know also.

Just installed IE7. I’m having the same problems as everyone else. Looks like another piece of bloatware from MS. Back to SeaMonkey for me. - Clint

I have IE 7 it seems to be working fine![:)]

I refused the update to IE 7. In addition I buried the Update into a hidden state so I will not be bothered with it.

I use the Yahoo Supplied explorer and it works fine.

I can always go to Linux and use it’s browser at some point in the future.
