Nice piece! The Reid Bros should love this one!!
Like all Micro-Trains there is excellent detail out of the box and the lettering is razor sharp. Car comes with both regular and low profile plastic wheels and of course, Magne-matic truck-mounted couplers. Car is a good runner. The couplers are overscale but they are the standard for N Scale. This unit will couple with Accumate and Kato couplers with little difficulty.
Quote: “N scale hopper features Optional wheelsets with NMRA RP-25 contours included” I recently purchased the similar one-of-a-kind New Haven hopper. Micro-Trains has ceased including the optional low-profile wheelsets. This is a disappointment for those of us who have converted all wheelsets to low profile.

I’m a bit surprised that Micro-Trains has discontinued including the optional low-profile wheelsets, but don’t despair…Atlas sells a package of 100 low-profile wheelsets for $12.99, as you probably already know. I converted my non-Micro-Trains cars with these, and the results have been very good, both visually and performance-wise. The changeover was very easy, too.

While I do understand the tooling costs involved, I still wish they had the accompanying panel detail pockets on the inside. For loaded cars, they are fantastic.
