Does this GP35 come in Dummy units? I plan to use a couple of Z engines or consists as forced perspective on the mountain sides. When I get off of my chair and continue building the layout. Charley

Lenz’s Gold Mini DCC decoder DOES fit inside the engine with just a little bit of tinkering.

I have 3 of these GP35:s and the performance is outstanding. You say a min.speed of 16 miles/h but I can run these locos at 2/3 miles/h with no problems. Use a 9V battery equiped trafo from Zthek and also a Gaugemaster giving pure DC. These Z scale engines run better than many locos in both N and also H0

Wow, I gave it a four because it looks neat! And it’s for the Pennsylvania RR, another plus, however since I DON’T HAVE ONE,I can’t comment on performance, Still…It’s a neat little loco!

One of the best Z gauge locos I have ever purchased. Quite to run, easy to maintain with supurb pulling power. Great choice of railway companies to choose from too.

Myself I’m already owning 3 samples of this jewel: one UP, an ATSF and a BN one. This loco is simply awesome: the running caracteristics are very smooth and silent. The detail level is amazing. And the price is modest. With this model and all what have been released for a few years in the american market, it appears Z scale is becoming adult. I highly recommend this model. Let’s stay tuned for the soon to be released turnouts and the forecoming GP9! Dominique

How wide does the hood scale? Photos I have seen look like it’s wider than the 72" of the prototype, especially when viewed from the front. Great accomplishment, though.

I have one of the Burlington Northern releases and I love it. This is my first Micro-Trains Z-scale locomotive and it compares very favorably with my Marklin Krokodil and Mikados. A big plus is MT couplers so I don’t have to run a transition car to run my MT cars. I think the 16 mph sounds high, I use the Micro-Trains modified MRC transformer and I know I do better than that now that the model has broken in. Five stars and I can’t wait for a CB&Q release.

Here in Argentina this jewel is unknow
