Micro-Trains N scale bay window caboose
I have both the Micro-Trains and Athearn SP Bay Window Caboose. Athearn has taken it’s SP Bay Window Caboose to an all new level. There is not evan a close 2nd place for the Micro-Scale Caboose. The Athearn has fine added detail all over it from top to bottom like grab irons. The Micro-Train Caboose is not evan on par with raised plastic detail. You do get a little etched brass insert you have to build and add to the model. The Athearn has all the detail parts in place on the roof and the parts look some much nicer than the brass parts you get from Micro-Trains.
The Athearn Caboose is also $5.00 less and comes in more road numbers. Athern has hit a home run, Micro-Trains a base hit.
