New to forum. Long time MRR subscriber. HELP.I have a Kadee MTL NIB ATSF Boxcar. Question on the back panel.Its a 1972 release #20072. Instead of the typical back panel of KMTL all it has ia a list of cars, couplers, and trucks available No logo, no address, no patents, nothing else. Blue box,green insert, black back. Date 091972-1. This car was not released until December of 1972 and has everything else on the back. MTL is trying to figure it out but has asked for photos (I sent) so they can see. Any ideas from the crack forum team? Thanks- Looking forward to the forum.
Interesting. I bought my first Kadee N scale car in the early 70’s and have never seen a label like you describe. Hope you keep us updated if you find out anything.
Maybe it appears NIB, but the box has been switched for something else?
Thank you. I don’t think so. The label on the box is correct for the car. That car/road name was released that year just 2 months after the item I have (December 1972). The cars listed are the first cars that MTL came out with. The man at MTL also told me the car and label info were correct, he
can’t verify what/why the back label is what it is. He said that the back label on that release has the standard back for first releases not what mine says. He wasn’t aware of any back label that said that. Suppose to hear back from him after the checks in archives. But I have no reply yet.
