Micro-Tsunami install

I just finished installing a Micro in a Athearn/Rouhndhouse 2-6-0 that
I bought DCC ready. I had to unsolder the JST connector and solder in
the Micro. I also removed the rear light connector that resides on the
pc board. I used a couple extension leads and mounted the connector on
the end of the leads. I kept the factory installed pc board in place
as the loco plugs into the tender at this point and the led lighting
resistors are on this board. I then had to cut down two mounting post
for the pc board so everything will fit under the shell.
The tender frame is milled for a one inch OD speaker.
This decoder sounds much better than the DSD-100LC and one inch OD
speaker I installed in another 2-6-0. There are many other effects
like the standard Tsunami decoder has. From what I can see in the
specs so far, the Micro is just a lower current version of the
standard Tsunami.
It was a real challenge as I do not have a steady hand anymore.

Rich - I don’t have the little guy but I have two of the standard
Tsunami’s installed and I love them. I can’t wait for them to
come out with the diesel Tsunami line. Whoooo!
Whooooo! Better find a part time job now so I can afford
them.
