Airbrushed on with a Badger 200, supplied with straight air from a 1/8HP medical compressor. No thinning neccessary with Future - in fact, if anything it’s a little more thin than I would like. The flat coat was either Testors Model Master acrylic clear flat, or Polly Scale acrylic clear flat. I forget which one, but probably Testors.
I strongly recommend trying any new material or technique on a scrap model the first time out. Then you can get a feel for it without risking a precious model. After all, the most reliable way to build good models is to build a whole lot of bad models [:o)]
Didn’t see it mentioned, but remember to flush out your air brush immedietly after you finish spraying Future as it will “gum up” inside after a few minutes.
Though slightly more challenging than the standard scale model paints, it’s not difficult to apply. One bottle will last a long time.
For sealing over Alclad II metalizer, Future works well. However, to dull down a metalized finish one would still have to use a standard modeler’s gloss or semi-gloss clear, such as Polly Scale or Modelflex.
Thanks!Future is great and I have models over 10 years old with no yellowing whatsoever. No need to thin it,just spray it from the bottle.Easily cleaned-up by spraying hot water through the airbrush.
