Just experimenting with some video. I plan to add more with better resolution and sound as I get the lighting and sound corrected. This was taken with the 30-second mpg feature on my digital still camera. I plan to use a digital video camera next time.

After seeing some pictures of yours in weekend photo fun I looked at your profile and found your site with your layout. I was quite suprised to see it’s as small as it is. From the variety of the pictures I thought it was much larger. You’ve done a very nice job.
I wondered about the sound. Did you install sound in your engines or maybe in a car? Or is it something under the layout? The sound seemed to be moving but I couldn’t tell for sure.
Thanks! The diesel sound is a Soundtraxx decoder installed under the layout, and the steam sound is an MRC Synchro Sound box (should have bought a Tsunami instead) likewise installed under the layout. I soldered some computer speakers to the decoder leads and I point them down at the floor. Since the layout’s so small, you don’t really notice that the sound doesn’t move with the train.
