Heard this evening that BNSF suffered a washout on the Transcon near Marcelline and that KCS has a sink hole on the old Gateway Western Route in central MO.
This seems to be a really bad couple of weeks for everybody. The railroads get put to the test a lot, but always come through. For BNSF that will be a lot of trains to re-route, I am assuming.
