Does anyone know if Michigan Northern GP7(formerly of the Dakota Southern Railway) is still on the Southwestern Pennsylvania Railroad? Last i heard the #1606 was on the SWP as of 1996.
I believe that engine is now at the New Castle Industrial RR,(New Castle, Pa, north of Pittsburgh).When I last saw it on the SWP, it had one bad traction motor and was limping along from day to day. I am sorry that I don’t remember exactly when that was, but I think it was 1998(?).
