Milwaukee Road depot

Does anyone have an idea where I can get photos of the old Milwaukee Road depot in downtown Milwaukee that existed before Amtrak?

John

Ebay is a great source for old Postcards of railroad depots and stations.

Searching for Milwaukee Wisconsin depot I find a few results that may be the depot you are looking for If you are not in a hurry check back in a week for new listings. I have had great success finding depots from my local area on Ebay.

Is this it? http://cgi.ebay.com/E9748-C-M-ST-P-DEPOT-MILWAUKEE-WISCONSIN-1-CENT_W0QQitemZ110111357087QQihZ001QQcategoryZ20243QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

Good luck

Thank you, Bill. I will give it a try.

There are photos of the depot in the book “The Hiawatha Story” by Jim Scribbins.

I would recommend trying to find the follwoing books, as they are loaded with all kinds of spectacular photos of the old depot (black and White, and color) covering many different angles and eras:

Milwaukee Road in its Hometown - In and Around the City of Milwaukee - by Jim Scribbins

The Milwaukee Road in Color - Volume 2: The City of Milwaukee - by Jeffrey M. Koeller

The Milwaukee Road in Milwaukee (Milwaukee Road Historical Association Special Publication No. 3) - by Ed Spitzbarth and Mike Shafer
