My 6x16 layout is based loosely on the time when both the Milwaukee Road and the Great Northern shared my city (Bellingham, WA). I have found some good stuff about both but this is a classic:

I am modelling GH/Milw circa late '40’s including the interchange at Monroe. Milw had trackage rights Monroe to Everett. At the east end of Monroe siding there was a Milw line south up to Snoqualmie, but I don’t know if it went over toCle Elum or Stampede?Check out the Historical Societies of various towns/counties. You will be amazed at the volume of pictures, track plans, and info available. The searching is an exciting part and worth the work! John

Was in PT for a nice long weekend last summer - “nice” until the Keystone ferry got blown out, we had to head to Kingston, and barely made the last ferry out, not getting home until after 3 a.m. … long day!
