I saw this car in Walthers’ catalogue. It is expensive but claims to be able to clean track through electrostatic impulses. Does anyone have one? Snake oil or the real thing?

I would shy away from anything electrostatic especially when using DCC. Decoders blow up without provocation so why encourage them?

I still feel safer using the CMX Clean Machine instead of some electronic gimmick that is likely to destroy DCC decoders, despite what one person wrote about it claiming that it causes no harm to a decoder.
