I was wondering if anyone has used the Miniatronics “Electrak Clean” track cleaning car. It’s supposed to “electronicly” clean the track. I don’t want one, I just wondered if it actually works.

I’ve never used one, but I think Tony’s Train Exchange did a review of it last year. The original model could not be used on a DCC layout because it would destroy decoders, but they have allegedly corrected that problem.
I still wouldn’t want one because I don’t believe in purchasing something that expensive and running the risk that it does’t work as advertised. The CMX Clean Machine works for me.
I wondered about that.
It doesn’t seem to be very popular. I wouldn’t trust it not to roast a decoder. CMX, sliders etc. seem to be best.
