minimum radias of rivarossi big boy ho?

i would like to know what the minimum radias of rivarossi ho big boy. am thinking of getting one to go with my new challenger!
thank you.

I suspect it will squeak through 18 but I would be more comfortable @ 22 +.

Generally manufacturers compromise to accommodate the smaller radius
but appearance wise, larger is better.

For looks and appearance I would say somewhere around 30" if you can mange it.

The model looks ridiculously toy-like going around a 22-inch radius and is far more suitable for 30 or larger.

I have one and it will go through 18" radius. It does look better on larger radius turns though.

thank you. my challenger run and looks fine on 18" but i am making it 22" it would look alot better.

Although not the same engine, my 4-6-4 still looks out of place on 22", and honestly not much better than on 18". My next layout (?) will have nothing less than 26" on my mains.

I do not have much room so all i can do is 22" max until i can get a bigger room.

I recall fixing a buds RR big boy, without tender it went thru 15"…

better on 22" or mucho wider like 36"…

made to run on the snap track…

On the OWNERS INSTRUCTIONS that come with the engine 32" MIN Radius. THe engine is fine on less the TENDER will jump rails on anything under. Forget about #4 turnouts also #6 or bigger. In my collection this has been the DESIGN FACTOR for everything. Soloution is to get unflanged wheels for the tender. Note that these are for the Rivarossi Big Boy.
