Quick question for the experts out there. I stumbled upon some minitrix engines in great shape from the 70’s and they would fit what I am planning on building. I have some kato track and wanted to know if the Minitrix engines will run on kato track Thank you in advance
Sure they will run because Kato track is code 80 or may be code 100 but high enough to allow Minitrix locos to run flawlessly.
It is probably the best track to use for vintage n scale locomotives. I have a 1970 Minitrix Pacific steamer and an old Faibanks Morse diesel switcher from around 1974 that run great on Kato Unitrack. The Minitrix engines were very well made , they run a little loud and the details are not that great compared to the newer products, but they keep going even after 40 years.
