Does any one know how to install mirrors on semi cab that don’t have them already installed ? Thanks in advance
Yes, actually sometimes that is better. I usually start with the mirror I want to attach & test fit it to the body. Once I like the posiotion I will use a sturdy pin or a needle to set a drill starter hole & then drill with an #79 or #80 bit. (if it is a plastic body & photo etch mirrors are used) Then if I need a larger hole (for non PE sets, I use the appropriate bit & open the hole until it fits. For metal bodies I just drill with the bit & only go in a little ways & then trim the pins on the PE to fit. If plastic to plastic I use plastic cement, if metal I use super glue & a tooth pic.
This is a Norscott KW 900 that has the addition of Plano Mirror sets, KW600 set & Fender Mirror Outside set. I believe they really help out the unit, it still needs additional detail painting.
