I just realized that on the extra outer cover that comes on some issues of MR as shipped to subscribers, the January 2017 issue of date on this outer cover reads October 2016. The regular cover is correct. Just a little interesting tidbit, not that is affects anything. Did anyone else notice?
Not sure I noticed that, but one thing I did noticed in the Beer Line expansion article (“Another round”) is it talks about several structure construction articles in future-past tense: “Steven will explain how he built Stienman Lumber in the March 2016 issue”; “I’ll go into more detail about the construction of the business in the June 2016 issue of MR”. I don’t remember these articles, and the tense is all wrong anyway, so I’m guessing they got the year wrong in those statements.
I have noticed many mistakes in major publication. I think it is because computers have replaced human proof readers.

They probably just reused October’s outer cover and forgot to update the month.
