Kinda odd isnt it? a deaf person intentionally walking on RR tracks?
I mean its kinda like a blind person insisting on driving a car or strolling on a fishing pier? To intentionally do so is to invite the worst.
To me this doesnt ring right. I mean its not your average “complete moron jogging with head-phones blaring on the tracks”…this is a person who was very aware of their condition and would likely know to do this would be to walk in harms way.
I wonder if it wasn’t a suicide?
Sad had a great life going then got ruined by going on the tracks when a train was coming. Nobody told her when ever a train is coming? really sad.

I’m with MP173, you can’t have it both ways. What happened to this girl is unfortunate. If we want to rip on people, we should focus on the idiots that will no doubt use this inccident as an argument for fencing in railroad right of ways and “impassable” crossing gates. I’ll be the local papers will carry editorials to that effect in the coming days.

I do wonder why she chose to walk the tracks, in her current condition? Personally, someone who has all of his / her senses shouldn’t be walking the tracks in the first place. I think this girl must of thought that her other senses would pick up the train before it came in her path.
I do wish, people would take extreame caution when it comes to being on or around railroad property.

This is absolutely the worst day in the two years Ive been on these forums.
When I die, I’m going to be sure that my wife dosn’t tell this forum that I passed away because SOME of the posters (see above) will see it as an opportunity to take shots at me.
You know, at times I am overwhelmed by the depth of knowledge of the folks on this forum. At other times, I am blown away by the immaturity of a very small majority of the posters.
Why does all this type of crap happen in Texas?
It doesn’t - ever seen that clip of the European kid playing chicken with the train? How about the well known clip of the woman walking in front of a commuter? Lack of awareness of trains knows no boundries. In fact, sometimes it totally ignores the boundries (by driving around the gates!)
