Missing Roller Bearing caps on Athearn Genesis Cars

I have a few pieces of Athearn Genesis rolling stock and have noticed on a couple that one or more of the tiny roller bearings have left the building. This is a nice feature on these cars, that is until they start popping off. Has anyone else noticed this problem and is there either an aftermarket source for replacement or does Athearn sell them? The cars don’t seem to be affected by the missing parts so I guess the issue is just cosmetic.

I have had two lose there end caps. I stopped running them because they started to derail. I replaced them with plain Athearn trucks. I never could see the little bearing anyway.

Bob,I am surprised Athearn hasn’t address that problem since its been around for several years…[%-)]

My best answer would be to contact Athearn and ask them…

IMHO Ken may have the best solution.

Thanks for the warning. I got some Athern Genisis trucks from my hobby shop (back when they were sold by Athern seperately, for those who wanted them, but couldn’t afford the full car) and havn’t used them that much. I guess it’s time to roll them farther than 20 (scale) feet.
