Two of the four locomotives from the famous Edaville tourist railroad
(now wasted away to a kiddie theme park) went to the Maine Narrow Gauge Museum. What I’m wondering is what happened to the other two?
This link leads to a photo of the locomotive now operated by Edaville, imported from Fiji. Even after being “Americanized” it looks undeniably foriegn.

When the old edaville was open until 91 there were GE Diesels #'s 1+2 (#1 is in Maine & #2 is @ Edaville or Vice versa) #3 and #4 Vulcan 0-4-4’s(ex Monson) both went to Maine and one of them was loaned out?leased to tne Wisscasset, Waterville, & Farmington RR Museum. # 5 was an converted 2 1/2 ft gauge steamer from Louisiana. It left Edaville in 99 i think and was sold by a private owner associated with the Maine Narrow Guage Mueseum to The WW+F mueseum. There was no Edaville # 6. # 7 and # 8 are in Maine these Baldwins 2-4-4’s were from the Bridgton and Harrison and are presently located in Maine in Portland. The #8 left in 1993? and the # 7 in 1999. There were also some small critters located on edaville, a whitcomb (still at edaville) and 2 plymouths #14 and 16 went to maine too. # 16 is interesting in that it is homemade. It has a homemade cab on a Plymouth frame with a whites truck moter from a fire truck.
As for the location of the missing steamers that is what I know. Maybe some others were loaned to the Sandy River group.
Thanks for all the info.[:)]
