can anyone give me info on RDC cars on the Katy RR ? Thanks !
They owned one–No. 20. RDC-3. Lots of good pix in the Katy books. Ran between Wichita Falls and Denison until 1958/59. Traded to I think B&O/C&O for 3 hopper cars. Lettering was red. Car was plain stainless. Interior upholstery was blue.
You might try the Chesapeake & Ohio Historcial Society for that one.
I’ve looked through my info,and can’t find that one listed. But that doesn’t
mean my info is complete.
According to my "C & O Power"book C & O only had 6 RDCs.
3 C &NW,and 3 M & StL.[:)]
(doesn’t mean it didn’t go to the B & O)
