MM&A's paint sheme

Okay, correct me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it:

MM&A is owned by the same parent company as WC. WC did not hesitate to repaint its fleet into Maroon and Gold. MM&A seems to be stallign as long as they possibly can. It seems lik ethey have no intention of repainting anything. Is there a reason for this? Why do some regionals repaint their whole fleet and otehrs don’t? Does MM&A have any intention of repainting its fleet of C30-7s or not? If not, is there a reason. It seems like having a corporate identity might outweigh the costs.

in some cases like this: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=337705&nseq=1 and this:http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=367896&nseq=12 it almost looks lie they are just adapting the existing scheme as their own. (btw, does anyone know if either of these are intended as experimental paint schemes M&A is planning on using?

A lot of it depends on finances. MM&A is not in the greatest financial shape so the repainting of motive power and rolling stock is not a high priority.

MM&A was never owned by the same holding company of WC Ltd. Former WC president Ed Burkhardt became the CEO of MM&A and used a similar scheme as WC on his engines. WC was eventually sold to CN and what has not been scrapped has ir is being repainted in standard CN red/black

Beat me to it…MIA?

I’m here !

MMA just has better things to spend its money on than paint jobs … my paycheck perhaps ? Well worth the cash in my opinion !!

edit: The MMA 758 is still in the BCR colors , without having to buy vinyl lettering we found some from another project and stuck them to the engine.

On the 3609 the hearalds on the front are from an MMA boxcar project so we stuck them on (why not? leave them laying on the floor or stick them on an engine). (I have no clue who painted it) I think I am runnng those engines in the pic ( I often end up on strange sounding machines)

Bob Grindrod is President and CEO, Ed Burkhardt is the landlord
