Is Model Engineering Works still in business? Tried phone number in Arkansas with no success.
Din’t know, however this is their web site:
Sorry, but I just tried that link and got, “Sorry, the GeoCities web site you were trying to reach is no longer available.” And I am sorry. I wanted to check the availability of code 40 flex track or rail.
Chuck, since this site is about 1:1 real trains in the classic time period, you might be better off at the Model Railroader site.
I use to build HO but the durn things kept getting smaller and smaller.
Art
Agreed, Art, but I arrived here via a (Bing) search of the web for Model Engineering Works. I figured that while I was here, I’d try the link that DSchmitt posted and got the negative results mentioned above.
Good news…sort of [;)]
Page 81 of the December, 2010 Model Railroader has an ad for rail and Flex-Trak from MicroEngineering Company. Based on their product line, I’m guessing that this is a descendant of the Model Engineering Works that we were looking for. Was there a change of ownership that we missed?
MEW is my dad’s business. He no longer accepts orders via phone. He can be reached at bhigg50@yahoo.com and sells a lot of parts on Ebay. I’m pretty sure his screen name is ModelEngineeringWorks, but I could be wrong. Hope this info is helpful!
