I have a 12 track hump yard that uses compressed air for retarders (shooting a short blast @30PSI at a 15 degree angle). When I put the yard in I lucked out in finding a source of cheap 12VDC solenoid valves. Since I needed a minimum of 36 cheap was important and I had the (for me rare) foresight to get some extras as spares. Now the inevitable wear and tear has reduced the number of working valves to the point that I’ve had to canabalize one row of retarders to keep the other two operational. Does anybody out there now of a source of cheap solenoid valves capable of holding 25 to 40 PSI of air pressure?
What do yuu consider cheap?

Here is a random one. The cheapest on that site.
Didn’t Jim ask for a 12vdc valve? The one DigitalGriffin found is 125vac not quite the same thing. Suggest Jim you do a search on Google for Clippard. They have various configurations in 5v, 12v, & 24v valves. After you find the one you want, search for it on the web. I know they are available surplus. That’s where I got the ones I have.
